As the Directorate of Information communication technology (DICTS) we are charged with a number of Services to offer to the University Community.  


The Directorate is involved in training of students on online ICT Support Help Desk system, Students online services, Google apps for education, KU corporate email services and AIMS/eKampus, ERP system…

Purchase & Acquisition

The Directorate facilitates the university to acquire computers, printers, scanners, projectors software and all other ICT equipment for use by students and staff. 

SmartCard ID Services

The Directorate prints smart-card to all students and staff in the University. The smart-cards for students are latter issued by the office of the academic registrar.

Systems & Database Administration

ICT Directorate is responsible for user administration (setup and maintaining account), systems maintenance, monitoring system performance, creating system files..

Provision of Broadband & Internet

The Directorate facilitates acquiring of bandwidth, laying of fiber, structured cabling and installation of access points across the University…


We also provide reports on student data and status of infrastructure to the University management and other government institutions
